Scenes from Crete | Greece

During my two week stay in Crete, I put almost 1,000km on my rental car (and then a second rental car when my first one died in the airport parking lot while I was in Santorini, of course.) since I was staying near Hersonissos, on the eastern part of Island, and wanted to at least do a quick drive around most of the island. Of course, this would prove an impossible feat, since not only is the island absolutely enormous, but there are parts of the south coast that are completely inaccessible during the fall and winter seasons due to rain and snow, and other areas that are only accessible by boat year round. Of course, that didn’t stop me from driving all around the Lassithi Plateau near where I was staying, as well as wandering around Heraklion and Chania, as well as an ancient cave and the Minoan ruins at Knossos Palace. Here are some of my favorite photos from these travels :)
