Olivia & Tony had their wedding in DC at the Bolger Center just over a month ago, but since they both live in San Francisco and I was going to be there for a weekend at the culmination of my epic road trip, I asked if they’d like to do an impromptu trash-the-dress / bridal shoot with them while I’m town, to which they happily said yes.
Of course, we had planned for some beautiful sunset lighting and the Golden Gate Bridge in all its orange splendor, but the weather had other, foggier and rainier plans for us in San Francisco. Luckily, Oakland had some beautiful blue skies and was just a bridge away, so we started off in César Chávez Park, where we almost ran into a recreational urban camper while we were taking photos next to what we had thought was an uninhabited tent. From there, we decided to try for some post-sunset photos at Land’s End, where we were treated to more classic SF fog, and we decided that if fog is what we had, we’d really have fun with it and turn the second half of our session into something a bit more dramatic.
We capped off the night with an absolutely delicious burger and some great drinks at Jasper’s Corner Tap downtown, courtesy of Olivia & Tony – thanks for an amazing time, you guys!
OK – I cheated and the shot of the Golden Gate wasn’t from Olivia & Tony’s session, but from that Monday, just a couple hours before I hopped on a plane to head back home, because really, there was no way that I was going to leave SF without seeing it.
Keep an eye out for more photos from my travels :)
