On October 10th, which happened to be 10/10/10 this year, I had the honor to witness my brother’s wedding at The Inn at Little Washington in gorgeous foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains and Shenandoah National Park. He decided to have a small and intimate ceremony and reception, with only his and Alina’s immediate family present. Early on, after he asked me if I would photograph it as well as being a guest, I told him that I would love to bring my camera, but as this was a once-in-a-lifetime event for both of us, I wanted to be able to concentrate on just enjoying myself and the occasion rather than worry about being able to capture all that I was seeing on film.
Luckily, he hired Hadar Goren, a fantastic Washington, D.C. based photographer to act as the primary photographer. I still brought my camera, of course, but I didn’t even think about it and honestly, the camera was in my bag for most of the day.
The Inn at Little Washington was an amazing venue, with a gorgeous location, beautiful lighting, considering that we scheduled the ceremony for 6pm, and the food was simply amazing – probably the best I’ve had in a long time, and I’m a bit of a food enthusiast, putting it mildly.
Michael and Alina – Congratulations from the bottom of my heart and I hope you have many wonderful years ahead of you.
Of course, no good blog post would be complete without some photos, so here are a few frames from the day.
